Registered Psychologist, Calgary ABAnxiety Therapy in Calgary That Meets You Where You Are
Available in-person in Calgary SW and virtually across Alberta.
If worry, racing thoughts, or a body that will not quite settle have started running the show, you do not have to manage it alone. Our anxiety therapy in Calgary offers a warm, evidence based space to understand what is driving the anxiety and to feel like yourself again.
Understanding anxiety
Anxiety is common, treatable, and not a personal failing
Anxiety is one of the most common reasons people reach out for therapy in Calgary, and one of the most responsive to treatment. It can look like a mind that never stops planning, a knot in your chest before the workday, sleep that will not come, or a quiet avoidance of the things that used to feel easy. Sometimes it is loud and obvious. Just as often it hides behind perfectionism, over functioning, or a smile that says everything is fine.
Whatever shape it takes for you, anxiety is your nervous system trying to keep you safe. It has simply become louder and more persistent than the situation calls for. Working with a Registered Psychologist gives you a place to slow that system down, understand its triggers, and build responses that actually fit your life.
You do not need to be in crisis to deserve support. Wanting to feel less on edge is reason enough.
You might recognise
Signs anxiety therapy could help
- Persistent worry that is hard to switch off, even about small things
- Racing thoughts, over planning, or replaying conversations
- A restless, tense, or wired body that struggles to relax
- Trouble falling or staying asleep because your mind will not quiet
- Avoiding situations, people, or decisions to sidestep the anxiety
- Panic attacks, or a fear of them happening again
- Perfectionism and a harsh inner critic that never lets up
- Physical symptoms such as nausea, tight chest, or headaches with no clear cause
"In my practice, the people most worn down by anxiety are often the ones who look like they are holding it all together. The high achievers, the caretakers, the reliable one. Their anxiety hides behind competence. A lot of our early work is simply giving that part of them permission to put the weight down."

Your first few sessions of anxiety therapy
Reaching out is often the hardest part, so we keep the start simple. It begins with a free 15 minute consultation, a relaxed conversation to hear what is going on, answer your questions, and make sure you feel comfortable before booking anything further.
In early sessions we map out how anxiety is showing up in your life, including the triggers, the physical signals, and the patterns keeping it going. From there we build a plan together, at your pace, with tools you can use between sessions. Many clients notice a shift in how they relate to their anxiety well before it fully quiets, and that shift tends to be the turning point.
Sessions are available in person in Calgary and virtually across Alberta, so support fits around your work, studies, and life.
Our approach
How we approach anxiety treatment
Anxiety treatment is not about forcing the worry to stop. It is about understanding what is driving it and building real tools to work with it.
Chloe uses evidence based anxiety counselling, often drawing on CBT, ACT, and mindfulness based approaches, matched to how anxiety actually shows up for you, whether that is racing thoughts, avoidance, or a body that will not settle.
Over time the goal is simple. Anxiety takes up less space, and you get more of your life back.

Common questions
Anxiety therapy in Calgary: FAQ
How much does anxiety therapy cost in Calgary?
Sessions with a Registered Psychologist are set at the standard Alberta rate, and many extended health benefit plans cover psychological services, often without a doctor's referral. We are happy to walk you through fees and provide receipts for insurance during your free consultation.
Is anxiety therapy covered by insurance in Alberta?
Because Chloe is a Registered Psychologist, her services are covered by most workplace and private extended health benefit plans in Alberta. Coverage varies by provider, so it is worth checking your plan's psychologist or mental health allowance.
Do I need a referral to start therapy for anxiety?
No referral is needed. You can book a free consultation directly online and start whenever you are ready.
Can I do anxiety therapy online, or does it have to be in person?
Both. We offer in person anxiety therapy in Calgary and secure virtual sessions across Alberta. Online therapy is just as effective for most anxiety concerns.
How long does anxiety therapy take to work?
It is different for everyone. Many clients feel some relief within the first few sessions, while deeper, lasting change usually unfolds over a longer stretch of consistent work. We set a pace and goals together and revisit them as you progress.
